New roof - The entire roof was replaced in 2015. 2 solar panels in South side of roof: 15 years old, still working perfectly. Another set of panels was purchased in 2015, in case they are needed. They are stored in the house. The panels charge two construction batteries, which sit above the ceiling. They are connected to wiring to both back bedrooms and the living room, and provide charging stations for up to 6 devices at a time, a bright floor lamp, solar lights in the toilet and all 3 bedrooms as well as living room, plus stereo boombox/CD player, and a ceiling fan in the master bedroom. Solar exhaust fan - This fan is self-contained, with its own solar plate. It removes hot air from the cottage automatically and continuously, once the temperature reaches 80 degrees F.
