LOCATION
Widely considered the most picturesque seaside village in Connecticut, historic Stonington Borough is a lovingly cared for place of narrow tree-lined streets with stately 18th and 19th century residences, interesting shops, and cozy restaurants. The area has an old-fashioned ambience with neighbors who still gather for farmers’ markets, parades, and entertainment on the square. Yet the main focus of life revolves around the sea.

Situated on a narrow peninsula surrounded by Fisher’s Island Sound and Little Narragansett Bay, Stonington is home to a scenic deepwater harbor that shelters Connecticut’s last remaining commercial fishing fleet. Also, because of its many amenities and its location at the end of Long Island Sound, Stonington has long been recognized as a major yachting center. Conveniently located halfway between New York and Boston, the area has many popular visitor attractions including the Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, and various summer theatres. Ocean beaches, tennis, numerous golf courses, horseback riding, and excellent salt and fresh water fishing are just some of the area’s many recreational opportunities.

The separate dining room has two original china closets and a fireplace. The modern kitchen has the fourth fireplace on the main floor and opens to a mudroom and rear stair. Original wide-board floors, moldings and details have been restored.

The second floor contains the light and airy master suite comprised of bedroom with fireplace, sitting room with multiple closets, and bathroom. There is also a large guest bedroom with dressing room and fireplace and the third full bathroom. A stairway leads to the third floor, which has a half bathroom and large bedroom with ample storage areas.

Because of its corner location and many windows, the entire house is light and airy. Mature plantings surround the entire property, which is fenced for privacy.

GUEST HOUSE
The separate guest house has a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and living area and can be used as is or as an office or artist’s studio. It shares the garden and patio area with the main house.
